Westover Farm was originally the home farm to the Westover Estate, supplying the main estate in the beautiful village of Calbourne. Since we moved to the Island in the late eighties, our family have continued to produce cereal crops for use both in the UK and abroad. Now in its ninth generation of farmers, the farm continues to be run by the family.
Our seven acres pumpkin patch is home to a number of different varieties of pumpkins, squashes and gourds. Pick your own pumpkins straight from the field.
Our stunning lakeside field is the perfect backdrop for your wedding reception or occasion. Enjoy the beautiful countryside views and surrounding lake area.
The agricultural contractors have supported all farming operations across the Island for the last 15 years. From small and ad-hoc jobs to larger jobs and complete operations.
Our seven acre pumpkin patch is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the stunning West Wight countryside. The patch allows visitors to pick your own pumpkins straight from the field where they have been grown. This unique experience provides great entertainment for all ages as people explore the patch at your leisure. Help yourself to a wheelbarrow and enter the pumpkin patch where you can wander the paths to choose from a range of varieties of pumpkins, squashes and gourds of all shapes, sizes and colours, perfect for your Autumnal display, pumpkin carving or autumn foods. The pumpkin patch is also home to scarecrows as well as other photo opportunities so you can savour your happy memories long after you leave.
The pumpkin patch is suitable for and enjoyed by all ages and dogs on leads are welcome. Buggies/prams have been able to get round the patch but this is dependant on recent weather conditions.
The pumpkin patch is free to visit with plenty of parking. Unfortunately we are not on a bus route in the Autumn months.
There is a toilet on site as well as a range of refreshments, including; pumpkin spiced lattes, hot chocolates & jacket potatoes
The Weddings & Occasions field is situated next to a beautiful lake, the perfect backdrop for photos and guests. The lake hosts magical sunsets and charming countryside views.
Your booking gives you exclusive use of the lakeside field and provides you with flexibility to plan your wedding or occasion as you desire.
The stunning lake not only provides a gorgeous backdrop to your wedding or occasion, the surrounding area has plenty of equally delightful photograph opportunities. We are happy to work with your photographer to provide backdrops around the farm, including; the bridge over the lake and surrounding area, the forest, the fields, the farmhouse or the farm yard and barns.
Westover Farm is located just outside the picturesque village of Calbourne, about ten minutes from the county town of Newport. The five hundred acres arable farm sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, underneath Brighstone Forest.
The farm is on the main Newport to Freshwater road and within 10-30 minutes drive of all the Island ferries.
Along with the whole lakeside field, your booking gives you access to; a water point, fountain on the lake, the surrounding lakeside area and a parking area
Other amenities can be organised if required; camping area, fire pit & hay bales.
We are also able to offer discounted ferry crossings for you and your guests.
Westover Farm provides exclusive use of the lakeside field for your wedding or occasion from Thursday 8am - Sunday 6pm. This four day duration gives you plenty of time to set up and pack down and utilise the space as needed.
Should you require extra time or different days, these can be arranged.
The field itself sits next to a lake. There is a large flat area which can house a marquee approximately 9m x 24m, enough for in the region of 140 guests seated or 250 standing.
Our approved marquee supplier is SDC Marquees who are experienced with the site. Other suppliers can be used by prior arrangement.
